Drum lessons are fun and engaging with a focus on each individual student’s ability and goals.

I specialise in the Trinity Rock & Pop syllabus and have helped many students achieve their graded exams using this route, gaining recognition from Trinity College London as a Champion Centre for 2 years running.

What I offer

  • Private Lessons

    Private lessons either 30 minutes or 1 hour are tailored to each individual student. There’s a full drum kit for the student and one for me so I can demonstrate, pass ideas back and forth or even play together.

  • Performances

    I organise Dumfries Drum Day, an annual drumming event. A big part of the event is to showcase young drummers performing on stage with a live band. It’s incredible to see young drummers get up and perform!

  • Graded Exams

    I’m a Registered Digital Exam Centre with Trinity College London. Students can purchase books directly from me, work through material in lessons and even take the final exam on the drum kit they’re used to playing.

A comprehensive framework is vital to progressing on the drums and I'm proud to be a Trinity College London Registered Digital Exam Centre. You can purchase Trinity books directly from me, work through them in our lessons and only when you're ready we can create your own programme that meets all the requirements for the exam.
